Astoria So Close to Seaview

We really do enjoy where we live. That’s why it’s not a hard sell when we promote the area. Of course, the Long Beach Peninsula is teeming with things to see and do, but there’s a reason that you might want to extend your visit to multiple nights so that you can also take in Astoria, Oregon. Just to entice you, we’ve posted a couple of photos that capture the spirit of that town, almost as well as the bumper sticker that reads, “We ain’t quaint.”Above is a patient companion, waiting for his owner to finish a beer at the Voodoo Room on a warm summer evening.

To the left is the view from the top of the bridge on a moonlit night.

Mid-Week Happenings in Seaview

Ours is a quiet, little town and especially so in Winter. So, the Shelburne Restaurant & Pub is doing its part to liven things up. We have three regularly scheduled events on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

On Tuesday nights in the Pub you’ll find crooner, Brian O’Connor singing and playing guitar. Brian’s mellow, soothing voice and nimble fingers create a fun and relaxing atmosphere. You just might want to get up and dance. Continue reading
