“It is the human touch that keeps Shelburne’s devoted regulars coming back: a hand-braided rug on the floor by an exquisite four-poster bed, thoughtfully positioned to cushion bare toes in homey comfort, or an antique vase filled with flowers to bring all the fragrance and color of the Shelburne’s English side garden indoors.”NW Palate 4/97
