During the past 30 years Vicki has honed her skills as a manicurist while also providing a healthy dose of laughter along the way. Her belief is that the technical part makes you look good and the social part makes you feel good.
After growing up in Portland, Oregon, Vicki spent 11 years in Hawaii and Los Angeles, where she took classes to become a manicurist. Working in LA during the 80′s provided the experience of adapting to a fast pace of ever-changing styles. In 1993 she brought those skills back to Portland and became the owner and manager of her own nail salon. After 7 years she sold it to spend more time with her family while continuing to work in a neighborhood salon.
During an 18 month sabbatical from doing nails Vicki trained in Reiki, a Japanese form of relaxation and healing. She earned her Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master certification from the International Center of Reiki Training, allowing her to provide Reiki sessions, as well as teaching Reiki to others.
